After days, months, even years, of saying I was going to start a blog, I'm finally doing it. I have loved reading our children's blogs and seeing how their families grow. I LOVE seeing our grandchildren and it makes me feel not so far away from them.
I started the year making several goals to finish things! This is harder for me than others. I starts lots of things, but have a hard time finishing them. I have 6 or 7 quilts "in process" which is stupid! I have rooms painted but need trim, ceiling cracks repaired but needing paint, fabric for curtains bought and just sitting there. Slowly but surely I'm finishing things. When our kids come and we need to make room changes, its even better for me because I have a "due date," a day when some of these projects need to be complete! Thanks for coming and making things happen.
I'm still an early morning seminary teacher. The kids are tired of me. They're tired in general, but some are really having a hard time getting script. mastery memorized, reading done, etc. I love Thursdays because its our "Prophet" lesson. Today, Taylor gave his lesson on Harold B. Lee and did a fantastic job. I love learning about past prophets, their trials (of which there are so many!) their families, favorite things, etc. Today is also good because I'm going to the Stk. Center for quilting. I'm finishing the kitchen curtains this morning too, so hopefully Dean will have time this evening to help put up the rods and "waalaa!" it will be beautiful.
I feel especially thankful today -- thankful to be a mom of fantastic children! Thankful to have a great, caring, loving husband who I absolutely adore! and thankful to people who make me want to be better.
